Quality for Generations

The Gustav Schmiedl faucet factory, headquartered in Hall in Tirol, is one of the leading Austrian producers of sanitary fittings, one-hand mixers, thermostats and two handle faucets. These have not only an excellent name in Austria, but are also exported to various countries all over the world.

The reasons for this include the universally recognized quality of Schmiedl products as well as a balanced price-performance ratio. The company was founded in 1950 in Hall in Tirol by Mr. Gustav Schmiedl. Gradually, over the decades, the small business developed into a production company of high-quality fittings for bathrooms and kitchens. Numerous patents were registered, which led to important innovations in the sanitary sector.Today’s worldwide standard of fittings, the single-hole fittings, based on Schmiedl patent. Today, all of Schmiedl’s shells are equipped with wear brakes that ensure a long service life. The single-lever mixers include metal flasks or ceramic cartridges with volume and temperature limitation. These contribute significantly to the economical water consumption. All Schmiedl products bear the Austrian quality mark and undergo extensive tests during development. Fittings are made of solid brass. The fine processing – for example the grinding of the body parts – is still made by hand. The high quality standard is ensured by continuous controls during production as well as by an extremely accurate final inspection of the valves. Schmiedl is also highly responsible for environmental investments. New and innovative products help to secure the company in the future. Our sensor fittings have been equipped with a patented, variable volume control, which dramatically reduces water consumption and thus actively contributes to environmental protection.

Another Schmiedl innovation has revolutionized the shower / bathtub switching technology of the wall fittings and banished the unsightly changeover buttons. Our exceptional Design Series are always state of the art. Our latest innovation, the water mixing cartridge has been integrated into the washbasin opening. Super thin faucets are possible, the new interpretation of the original invention of single-hole mixer. Furthermore, new product series are already in the development, which will also contribute to the further company success. Read more about Gustav Schmiedl and our company on Wikipedia.
